From October through January 2013, the Fluidmaster Mobile Roadshow will be traveling cross-country to tell the story of Toilet Repair, Performance, Quality and Innovation. The events will include stops at Fluidmaster distributors, and retailers with an emphasis on hands-on product training for all of our customers. Fluidmaster On The Road started last year when the Fluidmaster team sponsored #17 Ford with Matt Kenseth at the wheel.

As we’ve talked about before, Fluidmaster has a long history with racing and engines.  That’s why we’re very excited to tell you that Fluidmaster will sponsoring Matt Kenseth’s #17 Roush Fenway Ford in Saturday night’s Bank of America 500 in Charlotte, North Carolina.  The race will be broadcast live on ABC with coverage beginning at 7 pm EST.  You can read more about the sponsorship in the official press release from us, and you can also check out Roush Fenway Racing’s website for their press release and pictures of the car.  A scale-model of the car is even available for pre-order from Brickel’s Racing Collectibles.

At the end of this week, a few of us will be attending the annual National Apartment Association Education Expo in Las Vegas.  The NAA Expo serves as both a conference for apartment owners and managers as well as a trade show, where vendors offering everything from appliances to cable TV to maintenance supplies show off their wares.  One of the key buzzwords at the show year after year is “sustainability”, and green products are a central theme in both training sessions and in exhibits.  For those of you who do business with apartment complexes, this presents an opportunity for you to work with them on upgrading their toilets.

The annual Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS for short) was held this past week in Las Vegas,  It's the annual showcase for all things kitchen and bath-related, with a heavy focus on the fixture side of the business.  Fluidmaster had not exhibited there since 2006, but we thought that, with our focus as a company on water conservation (specifically dual flush technology), it was very important for us to have a booth there this year.

Fluidmaster has always had a long tradition of being involved in some way, shape or form with cars.  Our late founder, Adolf Schoepe, was constantly tinkering with engines and cars.  At our headquarters in San Juan Capistrano, there’s a garage in the back that has several of the cars that Mr. Schoepe and his son, current CEO Robert AndersonSchoepe, have worked on throughout the years.

It might not show up on your “Outhouses of the World” calendar, but April 25^th is National Plumber’s Day (though some sites list it as April 24^th).  While it would seem to be a day where everyone pays homage to their favorite plumbing professional, some plumbing companies have built contests or charity drives around it.
